Ableworld Coronavirus Updates

Coronavirus Update

Coronavirus isn’t something any of us wanted but it has soon changed everything we all do on a daily basis.

As a caring mobility retailer, at Ableworld we value all our customers and staff, and always want to provide the best possible support and protection. In light of recent events we are taking our role very seriously and have had some lovely feedback from customers and health professionals who have thanked us for being available for essential items.

We are keeping our stores operating as normal for the time being, as much as many people feel this is the wrong decision, we are helping people daily who live with incontinence and various mobility problems. We are not operating in the hope people will pop in to browse and flout the instructions our Prime Minister has been very clear about, we are operating because we have to, to help other people. We want to ensure we take steps to help everyone during this period of uncertainty and have therefore taken the decision to temporarily furlough some of our staff members in store and at Head Office, so our stores are continuing to operate with minimum staff. We have made a few changes to the Opening Times to our stores, but we will keep you updated with all these changes here

Please note we are still taking Home delivery orders via our website, however due to a slight delay with our Delivery Courier, some orders may be delayed slightly. We endeavour to complete orders as quickly as possible, and will keep you updated if there is a significant delay.

We can also arrange contactless delivery from your local store. Call your local store for further details

We want, as much as everyone else, to protect as many people as possible while also assisting our National Health Service take care of people who need it at this moment in time. Helping customers is what we do every day of the year and we are really proud to be able to help support the NHS during this crisis. Our customers and health professionals have been keen to let us know how much they appreciate our help, including a lovely message from a Ward Sister at Leighton Hospital, Crewe "We would really struggle to get patients home without Ableworld providing the equipment our patients need. You definitely are key workers with the service you are providing.”

We will continue to provide as much support as we can to help the country during this difficult time. We hope everyone remains safe and well and we look forward to seeing everyone as soon as we can.
